Treasure Valley Fun Directory for developers and AI agents

A free, read-only JSON API with verified information about restaurants, attractions, activities and events across Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Eagle, Caldwell, Kuna, Star, Middleton and Garden City, Idaho.

What you get

• Only records verified against official sources. Every result includes source_url, last_verified, status and canonical_url.
• status: site_active means the official site was live and matched when we checked it. It does not mean the place is open right now. operating_confirmed is used only when an official source says so.
• Times are in America/Boise. Past events are never returned.
• No invented ratings, prices or availability. Fields we haven't verified are null.

Limits

Anonymous access, no key needed. 60 requests per minute per IP (API and MCP counted separately). Responses are cached for 5 minutes. Please send an X-Client-Name header.

Terms & attribution

• Commercial use is allowed. Governed by Idaho law.
• Attribution is required wherever you show our data: link to the item's canonical_url (or the Treasure Valley Fun Directory) and include a Get the free weekly Fun Guide link to https://www.treasurevalleyfun.com/subscribe.
• Every API and MCP response includes an attribution object with both link texts and URLs.
• No bulk resale or redistribution of the data. No competing directories. Don't evade rate limits.
• Data is provided as is. Confirm details with the source_url.

Streamable HTTP endpoint at https://directory.treasurevalleyfun.com/api/mcp (stateless, read-only, verified data only, same rate limits). Tools: search_events, find_restaurants, find_activities, get_event_details, get_venue_details, plan_local_outing.
